Radical Trancendance & Art: Adi Da

Many years ago i was introduced to the writings of the exceptional being of Adi Da. The integral philosopher Ken Wilber on the book jacket to Da’s book: The Knee of Listening, writes: “My opinion is that we have, in the person of Adi Da, a Spiritual Master and religious genius of the ultimate degree.”

At the time his books sparked a flame of inquiriy and exploration into the nature of mind, consciousness, reality and truth [sic]. Those early questions and explorations were quite pivotal in getting me started on what bloomed into a path of necessity, wonder and exploration.

Years later when i found out that Adi Da started making art, i was curious. His work is quite interesting in that not only is he a Transcendentalist of a radical Direct Experience, a God-man and he makes art.

Check out his artist statement at his website. I thought that it was quite fascinating.
